After World War l, students and teachers at the University of Missouri, MU, Mizzou, called for a Memorial Tower to honor the University's lost soldiers. In 1921, funding and construction began for a Memorial Union Tower and Memorial Stadium, The Memorial Union Tower was completed in 1926. The names of MU's honored 117 men who lost their lives in World War l are inscribed on the inside walls of the archway. Art Prints of Memorial Union Tower, by Artist, Diana Perry are available.
