The beloved Hotel Robidoux, St. Joseph, MO, opened it's doors September 15. 1908. The 9- story majestic structure immediately became a glamorous hub in downtown St. Joseph and was the city's premiere hotel. with it's solid marble, plump leather chairs. 250 rooms, a bar and restaurants. The Robidoux Hotel hosted nationally famous persons such as Jack Benny, Harry Truman. Eleanor Roosevelt, Duke Ellington, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, Wallace Beery, Dizzie Dean and Jack Dempsey.
