Notorious outlaw, Jesse James, was shot and killed in his St. Joseph, Mo home, by James Gang member, Bob Ford on April 3, 1882. Ford, who was a guest in Jesse's home shot him in the back of the head, as Jesse stood on a chair, to straighten a picture on the wall.. Ford killed Jesse, to collect a $10,000 reward offered by Governor Tom Crittenden and a pardon for he and his brother, Charlie's crimes. Portrait by Midwest Artist, Diana Perry. Art prints available.
